Anna Rita de Bonis

Software Accessibility Specialist and Trainer for the Visually Impaired

Anna Rita is a Software Accessibility Specialist and Trainer for the Visually Impaired at RWS, where she has been working since August 2023. She collaborates with several teams to ensure that all RWS products and services are accessible to blind users.

Anna Rita is currently engaged in the third year of a three-year PhD research project at University of International Studies of Rome - UNINT, focusing on making Trados Studio accessible for screen reader users.

She holds a three-year degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Trieste, where she specialized in French, Spanish, and Turkish. She furthered her education with a two-year master’s degree in Translation and Interpreting at UNINT.

Her professional experience includes localizing software and manuals for BrailleNote Touch+ with Humanware. Additionally, she is a JAWS Certified user, having received certification from Freedom Scientific.

In her previous roles, Anna Rita served as a Delegated Administrator for the organization VIEWS International and as a Board Member of the local section of UICI (Italian Union of the Blind and Partially Sighted).
